The right mix of fun and serious work
"The idea is to combine team-building activities like archery with work-related modules such as safety training. One of the highlights is definitely the barbecue which rounds things off on the Friday, where the apprentices' families can also come and get to know the company," says Klaus Trayer, Head of Training at DOLL Fahrzeugbau GmbH. He organises and coordinates the week together with his trainers. The company has deliberately decided against employing an external service provider to run the induction week. This makes the week a more informal, friendly experience and ensures that the apprentices have a trusting, personal relationship with their mentors from day one.
Training is the starting point for a career at DOLL
"We set great store by the diversity of our training and we support and challenge our apprentices in their own projects. After all, they are the specialists and executives of tomorrow," says Renato Ramella, Managing Director at DOLL Fahrzeugbau GmbH. The company intends to maintain its commitment to this principle in the future. Therefore, as in previous years, DOLL is once again planning to offer the 2018 apprentices permanent positions once they have successfully completed their training.
